Facing Our Dragons

Shortly after my first eye surgery, my dad encouraged me to get a new drivers license. My old one had expired while in SVG, and getting a new one was definitely necessary if I wanted to drive during future furloughs.

At first I was hesitant because going to the DMV, and taking the drivers test DEFINITELY wouldn’t be an enjoyable experience. But knowing it was the right thing to do, I made an appointment, and began studying for the exam with tools online.

Yesterday was the fateful day….

I walked up to the lady with all of my documents. She looked at them, then glanced at me and said, “you know you don’t have to take the test.” I was a little surprised by this since the DMV website said I had to take it, but was thankful for the blessing.

In less than thirty-minutes I was out the door with a new license in the mail!

Life is filled with “dragons” or large challenges that keep us up at night. Often we are intimidated by these huge challenges into not attempting anything at all! But many times when we actually face them, they aren’t as frightening as they seem.

I’m not saying everything will work out perfectly for you like it did for me. But when we face that dreaded dragon, we usually find the Lord has worked things out already
